Gittens, who at the beginning of the indoor season transferred from Texas A&M to the University of Texas at Austin, copped a silver medal in the high jump at a clearance of 1.84 metres.

Concorde’s Revell Webster and Shakeem Mc Kay of Abilene Wildcats were in good form on the track on Sunday, each sprinting under the qualifying standard for the upcoming Carifta Games in two events at the National Association of Athletics Administrations of T&T third track and field Series at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

The farewell service celebrating the life of the beloved national athlete will take place today (Thursday) at the Santa Rosa Roman Catholic Church at 2 pm with the viewing from 1.30 pm. He will be laid to rest later at the Santa Rosa cemetery.
