SIMPLEX Athletic Club will host the second edition of their Long Term Athletic Development camp at Gasparillo Park from July 17-28.
The camp will be held from 8.30 am-1 pm from Monday to Friday.
Children between the ages of seven and 14 can participate in the camp.
The youngsters will learn various skills in athletics including how to start a race and running a relay.
Some of the coaches and athletes who will train the youngsters are coach Gunness Persad, TT Olympic athlete Machel Cedenio and coach Hydiane Harper Simmons.
TT Olympic gold medallist Emmanuel Callender interacted with last year’s participants.
The registration fee is $350 for one week and $650 for the full duration of the camp.
The participants will not only be exposed to athletics as basketball, netball, football and footgolf will be played. In addition, members of the TT Paralympic Committee will attend to speak to the participants and an animal group is also expected to be a part of the camp.
