Che Richards regained his British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Indoor Championship men’s long jump title with a 7.63 metres leap in Sheffield, England on Sunday. The University of Edinburgh (Scotland) student produced the big jump in the opening round of the competition.
“Because of a hamstring strain I suffered after this jump,” Richards explained in a Facebook post, “I had to withdraw after my first and only jump. I had plans for this competition. I had goals that were attainable but His (God’s) plan is greater than mine. I’m taking this one as it is, taking back the fun I had competing with the guys and going to prepare my body for outdoors!”
