Tyra Gittens struck women’s high jump gold at the Reveille Meet in Texas, USA, last Saturday. The Texas A&M University student cleared the bar at 1.81 metres. Gittens also competed in the javelin, finishing seventh with a 35.67 metres throw.
At the Hilltopper Relays, in Kentucky, Tennessee Tech University student Khemani Roberts finished second in the women’s 200 metres and long jump events. She clocked 24.52 seconds in the 200 and produced a 5.96m leap in the long jump. Roberts was fifth in the 100m hurdles in 15.71.
