Jerod Elcock captured the Abilene Wildcats Track Classic men’s sprint double at the Larry Gomes Stadium, in Arima, last Saturday.
The Abilene athlete won the 100 metres title in 10.44 seconds and the 200m crown in 20.72.
Elcock was also golden in the 4x100m relay, anchoring Abilene to victory in 40.93 seconds. He teamed up with Jonathan Baker, Judah Taylor and Jahi Hernandez.
Concorde’s Akilah Lewis triumphed in the women’s 100m final, the Carifta Games silver medallist getting to the line in a wind-aided 11.62 seconds.
Caliyah Wallace of Cougars was the class of the women’s 200m field, winning in 24.77.
