Devin Augustine was superb at the Truman Bodden Complex here in George Town, Cayman Islands, late on Saturday, crossing the finish line in a personal best 10.62 seconds to strike gold for Trinidad and Tobago in the Carifta Games Boys Under-17 100 metres dash.

“It’s really good to be champion,” the Carifta debutant told the Express, following yesterday’s medal ceremony. “It feels amazing knowing that I made my parents proud.”
