Semoy Hackett emerged victorious in the women’s 300 metres event at the University of South Carolina (USC) Open Indoor meet in South Carolina, USA, on Saturday. The Trinidad and Tobago sprinter returned a time of 38.46 seconds.
Hackett also competed in the 60m dash. She was second fastest in the qualifying round in 7.44 seconds, but did not face the starter in the final. Benedict College’s Dawnel Collymore clocked an indoor best two minutes, 11.57 seconds for second spot in the women’s 800m.
