T&T’s men’s team of Dwight St Hillaire, Asa Guevara, Machel Cedenio and Jereem Richards, running in that order won gold in the men’s 4×400 metres relay event at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England on Sunday.
The local quartet clocked three minutes and 01.89 seconds to cross the line ahead of Botswana with 3:01.85 and Kenya with a season’s best 3:02.41 in the Alexander Stadium.
It was the second gold medal for anchor Richards, who on Saturday won the men’s 200m with a Games recond and personal best time of 19.80.
